Bi-Directional Parking System (BDP series), also known as puzzle parking system, was firstly introduced to China in early 1980s, and has been improved and optimized greatly by Mutrade engineers in the last decade.

The BDP series is one of our most popular parking system solutions, widely applied at commercial areas such as office buildings, hotels, shopping malls, restaurants, airports, etc. Unique hydraulic drive PUZZLE parking system developed by Mutrade makes it possible to lift platforms by 2 or 3 times faster to extremely shorten the queueing time of both parking and retrieval.

 

PUZZLE parking systems allow you to increase the number of parking spaces in car parks by placing several cars on top of each other. Mechanized parking system BDP-1+2 with a pit provide independent parking for 8 cars. These parking lots are semi-automatic, that is, the driver needs to drive into it himself, however, this is a very economical solution in an independent multi-level version. This means that you no longer have to drive the car from the lower tier to get the top car. Thanks to the availability of free space, you can always get the car from the parking system.


Puzzle three-level independent parking module BDP-1+2 is perfect for both indoor and outdoor parking. Pallets of the upper level (+2) and lower (-1) level move only vertically, and the first (+1) level only horizontally, freeing up space for moving the necessary pallet. Setting / issue of the car from the top and pit is made automatically. The parking control system works on the basis of the programmed controller PLC.


At the same time, puzzle-type multi-level parking is allowed for embedding directly into the building itself. Thanks to the modular principle, parking can have the required volume and the required number of levels. With adjacent placement of modules, the number of parking spaces is unlimited.


What are the benefits of puzzle parking

The most important benefit of multi-storey parking is space saving. The vacated area can be used for the construction of residential buildings or other purposes. Parking reduces the time for issuing a car to 60 seconds.

To protect against falls, possible accidents and accidents, a special built-in system is used. Vehicle dimensions are checked by a photovoltaic device. If necessary, you can press the emergency parking stop button. This system is easy and safe to use and requires minimal maintenance.


Surface treatment at the puzzle parking consists of 3 stages:

1. Sandblasting

Sandblasting - cold abrasive treatment of the surface of stone, glass or metal products by damaging its surface with sand or other abrasive powder sprayed with an air stream.

2. Zinc primer

Highly refined zinc primer for surfaces where normal painting is not possible. Provides protection against corrosion of all iron and steel surfaces by applying a strong layer for active electrochemical protection of the metal.

3. Spray paint

The principle of spray painting is to apply paint in spray form, ensuring adhesion of the paint particles to the product. Spraying paint ensures efficient operation and guarantees a perfect surface finish. Spray painting also has a wide range of applications, since the material or shape of the product usually does not affect the results of the work.


Parking pallet

The parking pallet of the PUZZLE parking system for car lifting is made of galvanized steel sheet and for a long time does not give in to deformation when cars enter and leave it. The parking pallets are provided with guides for the wheels of the car to prevent the car from leaving the allowable dimensions, allowing the driver to more accurately position the car when entering the parking system. Channels are provided in the side beams for collecting and draining water from the platform structure. Such channels are able to collect and drain water and oils that enter the platforms from vehicles and prevent them from entering the vehicles below and structural elements of the parking system.

The parking pallets of the PUZZLE parking system of the upper levels, driven by electric motors, move in a vertical plane using four points of contact of the platform with the guides, which ensures a stable process of movement. The degree of reliability of transmission equipment in this case exceeds 7 units.


Drive mechanism

The main purpose of the drive mechanisms of the PUZZLE parking system  - combination vertical and horizontal movement of parking pallets in such a way that the required pallet, after a series of movements, is at the bottom point for parking or removing the car from the parking system.

All lifting mechanisms of the PUZZLE parking system are driven by individual electric motors for each parking pallet.

The main components of the movement mechanisms for each pallet are: an electric motor (one or two), a transmission shaft for horizontal movement of a pallet or a frame, a transmission shaft for vertical movement of a pallet, a motor reduction gear, chain gears and chains or cable rollers and cables connecting between the transmission shaft and the mount to the pallet, roller or cable tension gear, wires and cables.

The principle of operation of the drive mechanism for the vertical movement of the PUZZLE parking system is as follows: when the electric motor rotates, the torque is transmitted from the motor through a chain transmission to the gearbox, which in turn converts the torque through the reduction gears and transfers the rotation to the transmission shaft through a chain transmission. The transmission shaft, rotating, unwinds or winds the chains/cables through the transmission gears or rollers that move the platform up and down for loading and parking the car.

The drive mechanism of the PUZZLE parking system for lower level platforms consists of electric motor, reduction gear, torque distribution shaft, driving and driven

support rollers. The principle of operation of this mechanism is as follows. The electric motor through the gearbox drives the shaft, which is attached to the parking pallet, on the edges of the shaft there are support rollers. The shaft begins to rotate, rotating the rollers. The rollers moving along the rails move the parking pallet of the first level.

Where is the puzzle type parking system used

At present, puzzle-type multi-level parking is often used for placement in office buildings, commercial centers, administrative buildings, and parking lots. Thus, such parking lots can be used both in commercial facilities and in public places. Puzzle parking lots are often installed near major transport hubs or in the courtyards of residential complexes. These parking systems meet all the requirements that apply to this equipment.

Installation is possible both outdoors and indoors, it is possible to install between the columns of the garage, in several levels, which allows you to increase the number of parking spaces and all places are not dependent, you just need to design a suitable floor height and column spacing.

This solution has a wide variability in application, it can be used to increase the number of parking spaces in the yard, on the street, you can leave the structures open or close them with hinged facades, you can attach a parking lot to the building, you can build it into the building, then only the gate will be visible.

When installed in the yard, these parking lots do not require a complex cycle of approvals, since they are not permanent structures, as well as a self-supporting frame allows you to close the parking lot with light hinged facades, which can lead to the appearance of not only a large number of parking spaces in a compact structure, but also easily create a bright and comfortable building with protected parking spaces.

More than 20 safety devices are deployed in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic ways to protect the property of users and drivers.

Since its purely a mechanical structure, its malfunction rate is 0, and NO maintenance service ever required.  

Despite to the fact that  BDP structure is compact, the max capacity of each platform is 3000kg, while allowed car weight is max 2500kg. You can completely entrust your cars and properties to our system!

In addition to safety, experience of using this type of parking and driving experience is of great importance. There are sensors at the front and back of the system to avoid over-length vehicles and also prevent improper parking. An adjustable car stopper is installed to solve this problem.

There are 3 stop positions for bolting down that allows you to independently adjust the stopping place for a suitable length of the parked car. The distance between each position is 130 mm, which is enough to service 99% of vehicles. Customers can choose the best position depending to their vehicle length and wheelbase. Moreover, the rod has been designed in the shape of the round tube instead of rectangular to protect your tires to the max extent.
